Leave it to Lucky to find a silly way to get me dirty!
Cleaning up after my festival weekend… Putting away hats, cleaning dust from mannequin heads, on my 6th load of laundry, getting ready for a grand ol’ mopping festival of my own. LIB may be fun, but the cleaning festival is a secondary part of all camping vacations, and that is the one I am currently at.
Lucky is packing to move, so the house is in an extra special state of disarray. I don’t mean that Lucky is messy, cause he actually isn’t, and you really can’t even tell he is moving. But rather than re-organize right now, I am stacking all my stuff in the back of the house and preparing to transition my craft room into his old bedroom. I am quite excited I will have a place to close the door and work when people rent the studio, and also quite excited that I will be able to close the door and have all my work “done” at the end of the day. Right now my craft room is in an open area at the back of the warehouse, as well as my hat display area. So it will be nice to “get off” of work and put that part of my day quietly tucked away and invisible :-) The large area where I currently craft is about 18 x 20 feet wide, and I am planning on painting it all white and leaving it nice and open for photographers to use. I think that will be a nice addition to the studio!! I may put up fake brick on the less visible wall, once I see if it is financially feasible!
You are all probably reading this like “um hello Sylva you just said Lucky is moving out then skipped right on to your decorating plans~!” It’s true, I kinda kicked you all in the shins and then pretended it didn’t happen! Now to dress your wounds….
Lucky has acquired a new home. It is sad, cause we have had a lot of good adventures here, and he is a wonderful friend to me and well suited roomie. Lots of wonderful photo adventures, spontaneous shenanigans, and picnics where we don’t share food have happened in these four walls, and for that I feel quite Lucky (pun intended!) But like all change, it is also good! Our project will continue, and you will still be showered with new photos and get to share our artistic lives with us! So don’t fret, times they are a changin’, but all for the better!
Sneeze. - Sylva
It’s true, I’m just not a Downtown LA kinda guy;)
Living with Sylva in this amazing studio has been one of the biggest and best adventures of my life and we’re going to do our best to keep the fun going with our project. Hope you keep watching! - Lucky
