Day 145
It has been a very exhausting week.  I had to leave town unexpectedly and when I returned on Saturday night my house immediately started flooding through the toilet and shower drain.  I called building maintenance…. after trying to fix the problem with no luck, he said he was giving up until morning and left.  He instructed me to throw the dirty water into the freight elevator shaft.  A couple hours later the flooding got worse and when I called back he pretty much said there was nothing he could do, so deal with it.  Mind you at this point the bathroom, kitchen, living room, and bedroom set were all flooded.  Patrick was sleeping in the bed room set and I had to wake him so we could move all the furniture to the other half of the house.
For the first few hours, the water was mostly clear.  Then the shit started coming up.  Really, whole poops.  Who even knew it was possible that whole poops could sit undisturbed in the pipes and then re-surface later on?  I continued wet-vacuuming up the water, then transferring it into a mop bucket, then pouring it down the elevator shaft.  Finally at 6 am I had to sleep.  Help came at 8 am and they were able to get the pipes flowing again.  By the time I awoke at 11 they had mostly re-cleaned up the fluids and ran out the door, totally disgusted.  I bleached the floor as quickly as possible and then people showed up to shoot, I was still cleaning the last of the mess up.  After their shoot I crashed out, exhausted and in desperate need of re-setting my brain.  I woke up at 9 pm and got started making some hats for a shoot that started this morning at 9 am.  I stayed up all night crafting, let the people in to shoot, gave them hats and passed the fuck out.  Woke up, more hat making, dinner party, then home sweet home. Siiiiiiiigh.  It’s been one of those months.
